Afternoon Tea in Sketch London

Could this be the cutest afternoon tea?

I use Instagram as a method of research for travel from looking up restaurants to knowing the best room to ask for in a hotel. It’s all about a pretty picture but you get an insight into what the area is really like via Instagram. I’ve been following sketch London for sometime on Instagram and I’ve seen so many UK bloggers that I follow go there. It’s been on my to do list for a long time.

Darragh and myself had booked a 3 day trip to London to see Harry Potter and the cursed child play at the start of December (you can read our blog post later in the week). We had a lot to celebrate that weekend, so we treated ourselves to afternoon tea in sketch, any excuse to have champagne during the day. This place is pricey at £57 per person for afternoon tea and a glass of champagne but it’s the ambiance and experience you pay for. The food is presented perfectly and oh so pretty. There are a few options to choose from in your afternoon tea and they replenish as much as you want.

Why is there such a hype around sketch you ask? It’s not just for their food but for their love of art. Their creative minds have transformed this building into one of the most magical restaurants I have ever been in. Each room is themed and is as Instagram-able as the next. It’s a fun and playful. Every few years sketch changes their exhibitors and you can read all about the history behind the art here.

Do I think it’s worth the price? Yes! If you are celebrating something special then this is your place to go. Don’t forget your camera either as you will be snapping no all day.

Let us know if you have been to sketch London and your thoughts on twitter @wheretonextdarl.

Safe travels,

Kate & Darragh
