Spa Breaks in Ireland

Sometimes all you need in a mini spa staycation for the ultimate relaxing weekend. Anytime we have been away for a spa weekend we never leave the hotel. It’s what we do to fully relax and forget about the world. Kate is going to share her favourite spa breaks in Ireland. Every so often it’s nice to check out for the weekend and relax somewhere beautiful.

Kelly’s Resort Hotel & Spa – Rosslare, Co.Wexford

This hotel is my favourite in Ireland and I have been going there since I was born. It’s a family tradition that we all go once a year so I’m completely biased towards this hotel because I love it so much. Once you arrive in Kelly’s you won’t ever want to leave. The food is incredible but their spa in one of the most relaxing I have been to. You feel like you have stepped out of Rosslare and are just relaxing by the beach. In their spa they use two of my favourite brands ESPA and Clarins. This hotel is perfect for anyone going with a family or having a family get together.

Monart Spa – Enniscorthy, Co.Wexford

I’ve only been to Monart once, but I can’t get it out of my head. It’s actually been 3 years since I was there and I loved every minute of it. I went with my mum for a girly weekend and again, you don’t leave the hotel. The grounds are so pretty and there is barely any phone coverage. I recommend Monart for a couple of girly weekend when all you want to do is switch off and read a book. It really is the great escape.

The Spa at Killarney Plaza Hotel – Killarney, Co.Kerry

Looking for a spa weekend that is a little more lively then Killarney is the place for you. The Plaza Hotel is located in the heart of Killarney among the hustle and bustle. Their spa uses Decléor products which are super luxurious and one of my favourite luxury skincare brands. When myself and Darragh visited their spa we decided to go for one of their therapy treatments which can be done as a couple which was a little more fun.

The G Hotel – Galway City, Co.Galway

I adore Galway, any excuse to take me over to the West of Ireland. I only stay in the G Hotel when I am going for a spa weekend as it’s the type of hotel that is so luxurious you don’t want to leave. The beds are so comfy that you will order room service just because you don’t want to leave it. The decor in their spa is dark and very modern, just like the hotel. I love their modern take on interiors. They use ESPA products which I’ve said before is my favourite spa brand.

The Marker Hotel – Co.Dublin

If you want a modern spa break then The Marker Hotel is just what the doctor ordered. Their relaxation area is incredibly cool and their pool area has to be one of the best in a spa.

Farnham Estate – Co.Cavan

As I’m from Cavan I couldn’t leave this gem out from the list. I’ve never stayed in the Farnham Estate Hotel but I love it. Their spa is one of the most relaxing spa’s I have ever been in and they even have an outdoor pool. Located just outside Cavan town but in the middle of a huge estate this is another hotel that once you enter you will never want to leave.

I’ve decided to list a few hotels that my Instagram (@katekellyk) followers recommended that I would like. I love staycations in Ireland and it’s so nice to hear what my readers recommend. I think I need to plan a spa staycation soon!

Spa Hotels that are on my list:

Looks like we have a lot of relaxing to do with this list. Let us know if you have been to any of these fabulous hotels on twitter, @wheretonextdarl.

Safe Travels,

Kate & Darragh
